Laptops In India

Ever since their existence, Laptops have been widely popular owing to their portability. Unlike your PCs (Personal Computers), you can carry your Laptops anywhere you want to, and this feature has been a major reason behind their wide acceptance. These portable devices work on mobile processors, and therefore consume less power than its primeval counterpart. Moreover, certain laptops are available with high end features like an inbuilt web cam for chatting with your friends over the internet, in-built bluetooth for sharing files with bluetooth enabled devices like mobile phone, printer etc.. And some of the devices also come with a memory card reader, thereby giving a direct access to image, songs or videos from your camera or mobile phone.

Most of the Laptops come with an integrated WiFi for a convenient and rather cost effective wireless communication experience. Battery life of these devices are considerably higher than the PC's, and some of the latest Laptops are capable of providing a battery life of around 11 hours!

According to the screen sizes, they can be broadly categorized into categories such as mainstream, desktop replacement, portable, ultraportable, netbooks and tablet PC's. While netbooks, tablet PC's and ultraportable laptops are comparatively smaller, desktop replacement and mainstream possess a larger screen comparatively.

Laptops are also known as Notebooks, and if you are planning to buy one, going through a couple of Laptop reviews will surely help the cause. These portable devices are available in various different specifications. Earlier Laptops were seen as a lower versions (in terms of memory, storage and processor speed) of the desktop PCs. With the advent of time, the newer version of these devices not only compete with their desktop counterparts, but even outdo them! So, probably you might be wondering, what would be the right choice, how to buy, and where to buy? Well, the first step shouldnecessarily be to pen down your requirements, the features you want, price range etc...

If you are a gaming freak, you would require a Notebook that has a good RAM and a suitable hard drive memory. A web designer would require one with a good Laptop reviews.

First Google Android netbook ships with Firefox, not Chrome!

A few days before the launch of Windows 7, Acer has released the first netbook to ship with the Google Android operating system. And a juicy tidbit has come out of an early review: Android comes with Mozilla Firefox for Web browsing, not Google’s own Chrome browser or the Android browser that comes on mobile phones.

Google has previously announced its intentions to get into the netbook game with Chrome OS, but with Android’s ready availability, it was always going to be first onto machines. Acer had said that it wanted to get Android onto its netbooks soon, and last week, the company launched the popular 10-inch AOD250 mini-laptop for this purpose. Full specifications and features can be found here.

However, the AOD250 isn’t solely an Android device. Acer has included the option of dual-booting into Windows XP – a much-needed option, according to a review of the new system by PC Mag.
