Samsung Wave, launched earlier this year is the first smartphone operating on Samsung's very own (BADA) OS. One key feature associated with smartphones is multitasking, and the 512MB RAM along with the Samsung 1 Ghz processor is good enough to support that. Samsung has introduced a lot of application based features including integrated contacts, a unified in-box, a push calendar etc... Talking about overall looks, this phone certainly has that elegance and persona with a 3.3 inch AMOLED screen display, and a metal chassis finish that adds to the durability, while giving it a suave look.
A TouchWiz interface 3.0 enables browsing through more than three home screens simultaneously. Easy and fast navigation is quite important here as browsing through multiple screens simultaneously slows down the processing speed, but the 1 Ghz processor comes into play to evade this situation, and provides pretty smooth navigation. Wave comes with a large 3.3 inch AMOLED screen that offers vivid colors and a very good resolution. The “AMOLED” display enhances the image quality and adjusts the reflection accordingly to produce a distortion free view. Now, being a touch screen phone the display or screen has a vital role. Samsung realises this fact, and provides a tempered glass to cover the screen for that added durability.
Samsung provides the option of downloading extra applications from its application store, and the content and availability of applications varies across different countries. In terms of connectivity, the phone is WiFi and GPRS enabled. Latest bluetooth version (3.0), along with a USB port is incorporated for speedy and streamlined data transfer. Further, the integrated Dolfin browser provides zooming up to 10x, so that if you require to zoom into a particular image, a fingertip touch is all you need to do. Like all other Smartphones, social networking access is an important aspect of this phone. Wave provides one touch access to all major social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter etc.., where you can upload videos, songs or images of your choice directly from your phone. Now that was easy, right?
Samsung Wave - Anyways moving further, the phone comes with a 5 mega pixel camera featuring face detection, smile shot, vintage shot, image editor etc. Now with camera offering high resolution images, memory is surely an important aspect. Samsung has answered this query pretty well with an inbuilt 2GB/8GB memory, and expandable memory options ranging up to 32GB. A virtual 5.1 surround sound and 720p recording / decoding along with mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) Technology, gives Samsung Wave a competitive edge over the others. Rest, we’ll have to wait for its official launch for more specs.

Samsung Wave
Samsung Wave, launched in early 2010 is probably the first smartphone operating on BADA OS (Samsung's very own OS). The phone comes with large 3.3 inch AMOLED screen that offers vivid colors and great resolution, the “AMOLED ” display enhances the image quality and offers less reflection. For that extra protection, the screen is covered with tempered glass. ATouchWiz interface 3.0 allows the users to browse through more than three home screens simultaneously. Speedy navigation has to be the key point here, and “Samsung Wave” does a good job here, the navigation is pretty smooth and easy.
Smartphones are meant to perform multitasking, and the 512MB RAM along with the Samsung 1 Ghz processor justifies the case. The phone undoubtedly possesses the ability of efficient multitasking. Like a typical Samsung feature phone, it comes with a lot of application based features including integrated contacts, a unified in-box, a push calendar etc...., additional features can be downloaded from theSamsung application store (applications vary across countries).
Connectivity is another important term associated with a smartphone, the phone is WiFi enabled with latest bluetooth version (3.0), the integrated Dolfin browser provides zooming up to 10x. Staying connected with friends and family through social networking is one of the major reasons behind the popularity of smartphones. Keeping this fact in mind, the phone provides one touch access to all major social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter etc...
As far as looks are concerned, this Smartphone steals the show. Apart from the 3.3 inch AMOLED screen display, the phone comes in metal chassis finish that adds to the elegance. Apart from suave looks, the metal finish adds to the durability. The 5megapixel comes with features such as face detection, smile shot, vintage shot, image editor etc. It,s quite natural that camera with higher mega pixels need more memory, this is taken care by the inbuilt 2GB/8GB memory with expandable options ranging upto 32GB. The memory options comprehend very well with type of camera, and ensure that you never run out of space.
It provides multi-codec support for DivX, XviD, MP3 and WMV. Moreover, support for virtual 5.1 surround sound and 720p recording / decoding is present along with mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) technology. This DNIe technology has been associated with LCD Tvs and LED Tvs, and is bound to boost the overall image quality and resolution. Seems pretty good though, we'll have to wait for the Samsung Wave phone to be launched for more reality bytes.
