Htc Hero

HTC for the first time introduces Sense technology in the all new HTC Hero, which comes with a 3.2-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen that offers a 320x480 HVGA resolution. It supports HSPA and WCDMA networks with 900 to 2100 Mhz, and an up-link speed of upto 2 Mbps. HTC hero Mobile also supports Quad-band GSM, GPRS and EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 Mhz), the band frequency and data speed may vary with the service operator.

Now we know that HTC hero is a smartphone, but what is a smartphone? It is basically a mobile phone, which is capable of doing everything ranging from sending e-mails, to communication, entertainment, productivity etc. These are usually associated with multitasking, and offer ultra-portability with PC like features. Coming back to HTC Hero Mobile, it contains a couple of hardware buttons on the base of the phone, including a home, menu, back, send, end, and a much needed dedicated search key. Moreover, the handset also sports a trackball with an enter button in the middle.

This Cell Phone is designed for multitasking, and a good processor is a must, HTC Hero couples the Android operating system with a Qualcomm 528MHz CPU, which we felt is not upto the mark. For memory, the mobile phone offers 288MB of RAM, a 512MB ROM, and expandable memory options up to 32 GB. Connectivity features include WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB port and a quad-band HSPA cell chip. Further it features a 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus, and for the audio files it comes with Windows Media 9 that supports major audio formats including MP3,AAC, AMR-NB, WAV and MIDI. Video supported formats include MPEG-4, H.263 and H.264.

HTC hero mobile gives a pretty good battery backup with a talk time of up to 420 minutes for WCDMA, up to 470 minutes for GSM. The standby time is around 750 hours for WCDMA, and 440 hours for GSM. Scenes is a new profile feature that HTC Hero offers, it enables the user to create and switch between different scenes according to the mood. Another feature, HTC Footprint acts as a personal guide and gives you instant access to local time, weather and maps. Further, this mobile phone sports one touch access to all major social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter, so that you always stay connected with your friends and family.
