Samsung Wave

Samsung Wave, launched in early 2010 is probably the first smartphone operating on BADA OS (Samsung's very own OS). The phone comes with large 3.3 inch AMOLED screen that offers vivid colors and great resolution, the “AMOLED ” display enhances the image quality and offers less reflection. For that extra protection, the screen is covered with tempered glass. ATouchWiz interface 3.0 allows the users to browse through more than three home screens simultaneously. Speedy navigation has to be the key point here, and “Samsung Wave” does a good job here, the navigation is pretty smooth and easy.

Smartphones are meant to perform multitasking, and the 512MB RAM along with the Samsung 1 Ghz processor justifies the case. The phone undoubtedly possesses the ability of efficient multitasking. Like a typical Samsung feature phone, it comes with a lot of application based features including integrated contacts, a unified in-box, a push calendar etc...., additional features can be downloaded from theSamsung application store (applications vary across countries).

Connectivity is another important term associated with a smartphone, the phone is WiFi enabled with latest bluetooth version (3.0), the integrated Dolfin browser provides zooming up to 10x. Staying connected with friends and family through social networking is one of the major reasons behind the popularity of smartphones. Keeping this fact in mind, the phone provides one touch access to all major social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter etc...

As far as looks are concerned, this Smartphone steals the show. Apart from the 3.3 inch AMOLED screen display, the phone comes in metal chassis finish that adds to the elegance. Apart from suave looks, the metal finish adds to the durability. The 5megapixel comes with features such as face detection, smile shot, vintage shot, image editor etc. It,s quite natural that camera with higher mega pixels need more memory, this is taken care by the inbuilt 2GB/8GB memory with expandable options ranging upto 32GB. The memory options comprehend very well with type of camera, and ensure that you never run out of space.

It provides multi-codec support for DivX, XviD, MP3 and WMV. Moreover, support for virtual 5.1 surround sound and 720p recording / decoding is present along with mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) technology. This DNIe technology has been associated with LCD Tvs and LED Tvs, and is bound to boost the overall image quality and resolution. Seems pretty good though, we'll have to wait for the Samsung Wave phone to be launched for more reality bytes.
